ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY
Tim annual -meeting of the Orchestral Society was held last evening, Mr. F. Pope presiding. Owing to the war, matters in connection with the society were left in abeyance, the only change _of officers being caused by the resignation of Mr. Schwartz as tnistee, and Messrs. Holland, Toombs, and Bernard Page were elected as trustees. Tho subscribers were reported to number about 70, and two concerts n.ro to be Riven them at a later date. Otherwise as a result of many players going away tlicro are only about six'members left who can Rive concerts on a week day, tho rest, totalling something over thirty, having taken up various situations in tho city which do not allow of their playing on week days. It was reported that thero was a sniull credit balance in llio bank.
