HOUSES AND CATTLE TO BE RE. MOVED,

The Reserves Committee reported to the Citv Council last evening: "That they havo teen waited on !>y a deputation ie-yre-enting the Wellington Municipal Golf Club, who asked that tho grazing of horses and cattlo on tho links lie discontinued, and tho grazing of sheep substituted, and n l so " lat I QO fences surrounding tho greens be removed. Tho deputation contended that a great deal of damago is caused to the links by tho hoof-marks of horses and cattle, which also results m any play being slower and consequently fewer players can be accommodated on the links. Tho committee ore of opinion that it is desirable that horses and cattle should be removed from the links and sheep substituted, and recommend that the City Engineer be informed accordingly."
