FRENCH CLUB
The weekly meeling'of in.- French Club was held on AVednesday ovening. Miss Van Slaveren, vice-president, occupied the chair. Tho proceedings began with a piano solo by Madame Dcchanet-M'ln-tosh. Mr. Balham gavo an amusing monologue, "Oh! les Parents." A piano duet was played by tho Misses Allen and M'Diarmid, and Mis 3 Rowley gavo an amusing reading, "Une Nouvello Methode." A Gecond amusing monologue, "Blackboute au Conservatoire," was contributed by Mr. Balham. Mr. Gvoko raid an extract from "La Nouv?lle Zr-iandc," by do Courle. This described Wellington in 1901. and satirised the AVellin.qtoninns lor their lack of aesthetic taste, and for their sclf r sufnciency. \ vote of thanks was passed to those who had Inl'Pii part, especial mention being made of Ml.
