KARORI BOROUGH COUNCIL

The fortnightly meeting of the Karori Borough Council was held last evening, the Mayor (Mr. B. Q. I[. Burn) presiding. Ihere were also present councillors H. Tingey, T. Lower, J. W. Henderson, J. Mackenzie, E. R. Flannangan, H. B. Dryden, \V. G. Bra<lnock, and A. Hamilton. Tho Hastings Borough Council wrote recommending tho "Nat Beamish National Development Schome," and recommending it to tho Karori Council. Tho letter was received. Tho,report of tho Public Works Committeo authorising certain works within tho borough was approved. Thcro being now no necessity to collect for tho Belgium Belief Fund it was decided to continue tho collections for tho Wounded Soldiers' Fund. Councillor H. E.
