PRIMAGE DUTY ON IMPOETS. (Rec. Juno 12, 8.40 p.m.) Melbourne, June 12. Tim Federal Parliament will be opened by Commission on Thursday. Sir John Forrest will deliver a Financial Statement, and after passing supply the Houso will adjourn, till early in July, when the Governor-General will deliver tho policy speech. It i.s understood that with a view to Taising a large amount of necessary new revenue the Government is considering the imposition of a primage duty ou all imports, includiug those on the free list.—Press Assn.
