BOOKS FOR THE SOLDIERS
A CHANCE FOR EVERYONE TO HELP. Miss Rothenberg, hon, librarian of the Soldiers' Club, Sydney Street, has been requested to extend her. labours m the interests of the troops in camp by proTiding a library at Trentham Camp. Ihe curtailed train service has compelled the men to spend more of their leisure time at the camp than heretofore, and the library idea if successfully carried through should form a very welcome addition to the means of recreation provided for the troops. Miss Bothenberg was very successful in arranging tor supplies of books for the troops at Samoa, and also managed to gather together a much-appreciated collection of literature at the Soldiers' Club. There is every prospect, therefore, that she will meet Sth the support for the Trentham project which its merits warrant. Tho=a of the public who have any spare books in good condition can render a very real service to our soldiers by sending them along to Miss Rothenberg, care of the Soldiers' Club, Sydney Street. All classes of books will welcome ~a sJ ?*l! are all tastes to cater for, and the sooner they are sent along the quicker the scheme will bo brought into operation and the better pleased everyone will be.
