Sir WilliamHall-Jones, M.L.C., is at present on a visit to Auckland. Tho Rev. It. ,T. Porter, Presbyterian minister, Emeritus, died to-night, says n. Tress Association messßge from Oamaru. Ho was born in the County Down, Ireland, in 18,18, and Bet apart in lbo'2 for special work in New Zealand. Be supplied St. Andrew's Church, Christchurch, for a, short period, and was at Prebbieton and Lincoln for three years and a half, and later at Morniugton. Mr. Porter was inducted to SI. Paul's, Oanin.ru, in IB9S, and retired in January, 11)15, owing to ill-health.
