John Baijibridgo pleaded guilty to cruelly ill-treating a horso by allowing it to work while in ill-Health, and was fined '103., in tho alternative 11 days' imprisonment. ' Tho caso against Thomiis Tnrabochia for failing to mako application to register as a reservist under tho Military Service Act, was adjourned to Tuesday to enablo defendant to make tho necessary application. Thomas Bengo was ordered to pay coste for driving a butcher's cart at a greater paco than a walking pact) across the intersection of Willis Street and Lambton Quay. . Ernest Hadley, for allowing a howc to wander, was fined 10s. and costs. A seaman named James Murphy, convicted of being unlawfully absent from hia ship, was fined 10s., and ordered to be returned to his vessel. .Another soanuui named Richard John Evett, who also unlawfully absented himself from hia vessel, waa ordered to forfeit two days' pay, in default seven days' imprisonment. The man's vessel, it was stated in Court, had .left port, and lie therefore could not be returned to it.
