DISPUTES. , When the last conference between the coal miners and the coal mine-owners ended 'without any settlement having beon reached, it was announced by the employers that they intended to' initiate disputes according to the procedure required by the Arbitration Act in all cases where the agreements with the unions had expired. Disputes have already been filed as affecting the WostportStockton and Blackball mines.. BothT disputes will bo investigated by conciliation <xmncils at tho end of next monh. The Blackball dispute will be taken at GreyInonth, and the Westport-Stockton dispute at Westport.
