HOME FOR SOLDIERS
MENTAL PATIENTS. The Wellington Patriotic Society executive decided last night, conditional upon the Government giving certain assistance, to purchase the late Mr. John Duthio's"Nainai" property at the Hutt for use as a. home for returned soldiers suffering , from mental disorders caused by war service. The proposal has already been before the society. After discussion at the meeting last night, it was agreed at len-th that the society pnrohaso the property of the late Mr. John Diithje at Lower Hiitt, conditional upon the- Government taking over control of the .institution and relieving the society of all liability for maintaining it. The price i* y>Bsoo. and (lie money is to be ■provided out of the funds raised iby tne special effort the society has agreed to undertake.
