THE SECOND DIVISION Sir,—l shall esteem it a favour if you will answer the following query:—ls a Second Division reservist classified according to his age and number of children at time of registration, or at time of the gazetting of the . classification scheme, or at the time of his being called up in the ballot? (a) In what class would a reservist with two children be placed if he was thirtyfour at'the time of registration, but is over thirty-five now? (b) In what class would a reservist under thirty-five be placed if ho had two children at time of registration, but has more than, two children now ? Thanking you in anticipation,—l am, etc., SECOND DIVISION. [The classification of the Second Division will date from a day yet to be announced. Men will be classified according to their ages and the number of their children on that. day. They will have an opportunity earlier to correct the information supplied on their registration cards, where necessary, by notifying the Government Statistician of births and deaths in their families. After the classification has been completed, the birth of an additional child may change the status of a reservist, bat only if the birth takes place prior to his name being drawn in the ballot. - !
