There is every prospect of next, week beine a very busy one at Wellington. There are already several larfte vessels liere which will remain over the week end, and Monday. Tuesday, and Wednesday ivill be particularly heavy, .as there are eleven Union Company vessels alone due during the week. cud. TASAWE.UA AND MONOWAI. The Union Company advise that the departure from Auckland of the Tarawera, has been postponed until Holiday. She comes Tia Gisborne and Napier, and is now due liere on Thursday. She goes Eoutli the same day. Hor movements after arrival at Duncdin aro indefinite, and she will be replaced ou the northward rut from that port by the Jfonowai. The overhaul and repairs to the Monowai at Port Chalmers were not completed as soon as was expected, and consequently an alteration was niadc in the vessel's itinerary. She was originally timed to leave the southern port on Tuesday. May 11, but will now leave on Friday, May 25. Thi3 date may be yet altered in yiew of the late arrival of the Tarawera. U.S.S. GO. MOVEMENTS. The following movements are announced by the Union Company. The Kamo, which left hero last night is to call at Picton, and then ko on to Greymouth. At Greymouth she loads for Wellington, and is expected to leavo the southern port on Monday. She is due here on Wednesday morning. ■ The Kahika is expected to leave Greymouth to-night for Wellington, with a. full coal cargo. It is hoped to get the Komata away tonight for Westport. At the southern port sho loads back to Wellington, being due late on Tuesday or on Wednesday. The Karu is expected to leave Greymouth to-ni#ht for Wellington with coal and timber. The Oorinna is to leave Lyttclton this afternoon for Wellington, and will get hero to-morrow. Her departure for Nelson and New Plymouth has been postponed until Monday. The- Kara.nra loaves Lyttclton to-day, and sails for New Plymouth on Monday. The Kittawa. is expected here on (Sunday from, Westport. 6ho has a full coal cargo for here. HDfEJIOA RETURNS. From hor periodical trip round the southern lighthouses the Government steamer Hinemoa. returned to port, yesterday, and occupied her usual berth at the Ferry Wharf. Captain Bollons Toported that ho had a quiet trip. On the East Coast the weather had been fine, and all the usual calls were made. Two trips wcro made betweon Bluff and l'uysoeur Point, to take a sufficient quantity of timber ior some new buildings. This was safely landed. Tho -weather on tho West Coast had been moderate. All the calls were made except at Kahurangi Point. Tho Hinemoa stood off for a day, but tho weather was too rough to effect a landing. Before undergoing overhaul here previous to going on her northern tirp the Hinemoa will visit tbo Cook Strait lighthouses, and-, will again oall at Kahurangi Point. On the trip, for which the vessel will | probably leavo hero on Tuesday morning next., a nowly-appointed keeper (a returned soldier), named (Jhalmers, and his wife will bo taken to Kahurangi Point to replace Keeper Trainor, who has resigned tho service.
