.. (Rec. May 18. 5.5 p.m.) 1 ondon, May W. The Rajah of' Sarawak is dead.-Ails.-; N.Z. Cable Assn.-K*uter. [His Highness Sir Charles Johnsjra Brooke, second Rajah of Sarawak, was born in 1829. He joined H.M. Navy in ISIO, but in 1351 resigned his commission to serve under his uncle in SarawaV. Ho was prominent in helping to restore tho country to order and put down piracy and head-hunting. He succeeded his undo as Rajah of Sarawak in ISSS. His heir is Charles Vgner Brooke, who was born.in LW.on in September, 1871 and married in 1911 the lion.
