NATIONAL CONFERENCE IN SWEDEN
A REPUBLIC OR A MONARCHY
Stockholm, May 13. The "Degens Nyheter" states that a Polish National Conference is assembling at Stockholm, ft is being attonded by many representatives from various parts of Poland, including members of the nev.\ Government established'by Germany and Austria in the occupied' territory. The questions' for discussion will include: "Shall New Poland join Russia or the Central Powers?" and "Shall it be a republic or a monarchy?"; also, economic conditions, especially in regard to the ownership of property in the occupied territory, and the financing of New Poland. There is a proposal to obtain money from neutrals, as the bellisrerflnts are likely to be financially exhausted nftor / the war.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.
