' . 4 FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. High southerly winds' veering to westerly. The barometer rising temporarily in the northern distriots, but falling further in the south. Expect a continuance of unsettled conditions, irith heavy rain and flooded rivers in many parts of the country, and snow on the higher levels. The centre of a cyclone from the northeastward reached the northern district on Saturday lUßlit, and is at present located off East Cape. Stormy weather has been experienced with considerable rainfall particularly over the lj££th Island and in the north-west districts of the south Easterly and. southerly winds, strong to sale, have predominated.
