AND LYTTELTON WATERSIDERS. " By Telegraph—Press Association. Chrlstchurch, May 11. ■ Great inconvenience is being caused the watersiders at Lyttelton by the -restricted train service. The wator- ' - Eiders- are most anxious to procure tbe V-dispatch-of food ships,..but'the present itime-table prevents them from working this class of ship during 'the hours they would like;.to. A' committee of the. union passed the following xesolu- ;. ."tion:—"That as a union we are not prepared -to work any ship after 6 p.m. ... until the original train service has been reinstated up to 9.45 p.m. Our union is only, too anxious to get food shipsto England if the railway authorities provide the facilities. In tlita case of a certain steamer the committee has decided to work her till midnight, which proves our sincerity on the grave matter of food sliips."
