SECOND DIVISION
_i BUSINESS OF THE LEAGUE;
Tho committee of the Second Division League met last evening, when many matters affecting reservists were dis- ' cussed. It'was decided to defer dealing - with the'question of medical examinations and better conditions' for _ , ; pendants, etc.,' until after the Minister of Defence had replied to the league's queries regarding classification. The reports of the committee showed a considerable increase in membership, and correspondence received from other; centres indicated that the league was - going ahead rapidly throughout the Dominion. Appreciative references were made to tho worli being' done by the Jlotumetfy Soldiers' and the following resolution was carried: —"That this meeting of tho committeo of the Second .-. Division .League records its appreciation of the work' being carriedout by the Returned Soldiers' Association, and extends its hearty support to all efforts put forward to secure the best possiblo conditions for all soldiers and thoir depondants." ._* ] Letters wore received from Stratford. i and Masterton asking for particulars with a. view to .forming'.branches in '; •_ those centres'.
