A. MILD DAY
Yesterday, for the time of the year, was wonderfully mild and spring-like in Wellington and round about. The rain came at about 7 o'clock in the evening. The leather conditions elsewhere generally have been unsettled, witli rain in many parts, Moderate to strong northerly winds have been the role. Present indications, states the official forecast, point to strong northerlies; backing to westerly winds, with squally aiid changeable weather, and heavy showers, especially in all tho western districts.
