Information has been received that i Maori boy named George Rangi, aged six or seven, whose parents reside at Awaturi, near Foilding, accidentally shot himself at Corbett Road, New Plymouth. It appears ihat the Maoris in the locality were attending to their usual farm work when they heard a loud report, and on running hack to the house found that the boy iiad shot himself with a double-barrei-led' gun, with which he had evidently teen playing.
