THE SOUTHERLY SNAP
Yesterday opened with a beautiful morning and a light breeze from the south. As the day wore on the breeze freshened, and the air was distinctly" keen. The wind died down evening. A few drops of raini fell. Ibe weather conditions elsewhere have been cold, changeable, and showery. Present Mictions, states the official forecas , arc for southerly breezes with the weather fair to cloudy, and passing showers (especially in tlie northernmost and southernmost districts). :
