After/hearing lengthy evidence, His "Worship adjourned the case'until May 3. At the annual meeting of parishioners of St. Matthew's Church, Mr. K. Hale was elected vicar's warden and Mr. T. Evans parishioners' warden. The following vestry was elected:— Messrs. J. B. Henry, G. L. Thomas, A. Welch, G. Hyde, J. \V. de Castro, T. T. Denbee, R. V. Jones, J. W. Blackman, E. H. Waddington, and H. F. Green. In the Magistrate's Court at Masterton on Friday a man named Dawson was fined £2 for permitting himself to he "shouted for" in a hotel.
