Messrs. Dalgcty and Company, Limited, report:—Wo held our weekly stock solo at Da-nnevirko yards on April 20, when we offered a-fair entry of sheep and. cattle to a fair attendance of farmers and buyers. Competition was not particularly keen, but wo succeeded in placing practically the whole of our entry. Wo quote as follows:—Two-tooth wethers, forward, ,325. 6d.; four-tooth wethers, light, 335. 2d.; cull lambs, lis. 6d. to 12s. 6d.; forwara ewes, 245. Ba\; cull owes, 14s. 9d.-, etoro cows, £3 to £4 55.; forward cows, *« 7s. &d. to £8 16s. 6d.; fat cows, light, £9 to £10 7a. 6d. • Messrs. Wright, Stcphcnsonand Co., IM.. report having held their monthly sale at' Weber on Monday, when they submitted a heavy yarding of cattle to a good attendance of buyers. Tho entry was chiefly comprised of 21 to 31-year bullocks, which met with spirited competition at auction, with the result that we sold (with the exception of one pen) the whole of our offering at exceptionally good prices, as follows :-17 4-year bullocks, £16; 23 3-year bullooks, £15 2s. 6d.; 18 3-year bullocks, £14 155.; 19-21-year steers, £14; 6 21-ywr steers, £13 Bs. 6d.; 14-21-year steers, £14; 27 iStoro cows, £10 25.; two cows and calves, £14 25.; two cows and calves, £13 45.; 11 store cows, £7 10s.; 12 store cows, £0 55.; 15 heifers, £8 3s.' 64; 19 weaner steers, £5 45.; 20-mj. wcanors,. £3 2s.j 11 m.s. weancrs, £3 10s.; dairy co.ws, £10 10s.to £12 25.; pack horses and gear, £2 sa. to £4 10s.
