FOOD PRICES IN BRITAIN
THE INCREASE SINCE THE BEGINNING OF* TftE WAR. The Board of Trade "Labour Gazette" states that retail food prices at .February 1 in the United Kingdom were between 1 and 2 per cent, higher tjian a month earlier. Cheese showed the greatest increase—7 per cent. Butchers' meat and potatoes increased by about 5 per cent.
