The members of this club havo shown a most commendablo desire in the past two years to thoroughly equip themselves for emergencies that may occur' on the beach at Island Bay, and have taken evory advantage of tho inducements of the Royal Life Saving Society' s to becomo proficient in.life-saving methods. The ladies- particularly show a zeal that, is-worthy of emulation at all our bathing resorts,, and among, their number are not a few very proficient expononts of the art.
