Van Staveren moved: "That no war bonus be paid to any officers of the board who.are in. feceipt of : £300, per.,annum or,more.". \ _ In speaking, to the. motion, Mr. Van' Staveren ;said.that they, were all making V sacrifices at the present time, and he did' not think that those getting ■higlusalaries .should., bonuses, particularly those who were already, getting.free coal<*ndlighting.
