Sir,—l trust you will' pardon me for taking up space in your .paper; but ow,ing to some misunderstanding in*the Defence Department I was ,very much surprised to find my name in the Sixth. Ballot. I was invalided back to New Zealand, arriving at Port Chalmers on January/19, "and was discharged from the New , Zealand Expeditionary Force on February 20,- 1917, as being no longer physically fit for active service.
