The late Mr.- J. N. M'Arthur, who died recently in: Melbourne, was .for many years a prominent' owner, and he raced horses up "till his sudden demise. Tho Flemingfon trainer, Jas. S'cobie, always had a few horses, belonging to Mi\ M'Artlnm The deceased was one of the very few owners wh» raced without betting.
