SOME IMPORTANT RESOLUTIONS. 'By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, March 29. . •"'The Christian Temperance Convention concluded to-day. Resolutions were passed urging the Government to take steps to protect parents, guardians, and doctors seeking or giving information on venereal disease in regard to men or women intending tomarry, also protesting against, the introduction of the gambling element into patriotic work, and requesting the Government to collect all necessary moneys by taxation and- subscription; also urging ttie refusal of_ all racing and totalisator [permits during the war period.
