London, March 27. The appeal case, Attorney-General of New Zealand v. Brown and others, has been dismissed, the appellant paying his own costs, but not respondent's.—AusN.Z.'Cable Assn. . .. [The appeal was one of considerable importance, involving the validity of a charitable bequest, contained in the will of Edward William Knowles, deceased, of Napier. The valuo of the bequest was £70,000. The case came before the Appeal Court in Wellington, and the bequest was held to bo void by a majority, of the Court, only His Honour the Chief Justico dissenting.]
