The soldier who wrote it is apparently anxious to prove that he was called up in mistake, for he ingeniously proves that he is not himself but his own grandfather ! This is his "proof":— fr l asked vay ffirl to marry me, but she asked to bo excused, and like a fool X excused her. Then to got eTen hi.-r I married her mother. Then my father married the girl. When I married the girl's mother,' the girl became my daughter, and when my father married the daughter .she became my mother. If my father is my son and my daughter my mother, who the Kaiser iim IF My mother's mother, who is my wife, must be my grandmother, anil I being my grandmother's husband, must be my own grandfather!"
