SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
There was a ypry large audience at the Sailors' Friend Society-last night,-wfien Hiss V. Mueller Rave another of her popular concerts. It was thoroughly en- . joyed, as was evidenced by the many encores. A slioi;t temperance address ' by Mr. J. Moore, missioner, was followed by pledges. Mr. Moore thanked those who, in response to Press Tequests, had sent .in discarded books for use at sea. The performers were the Misses Gawler, Carfingtori, ~T.. Trim,, J. Fairclougli, and V. Mueller, and Messrs,. Cnlverwcll, C. Trim, AV. Downes, M'CtifloclT, Bryant, Ross, Tracy. Miss M. Gawler was at the piano. The performers were accorded a Toto of thanlts in the form of ohoors. Miss slueller responded.
