Soldiers' Club Entertainment.

Tho soldiers* entertainment which had been organised by Sergeant-Major Lovel and his concert party from Feathcrston Camp for Saturday evening at tho Soldiers' Club in Sydney Street attracted a large gathering of commit too members, hostesses and their helpers, and others who take a practical jjart in the entertaining of the soldiers. Corporal Blake, Signaller Bickne,ll, and Corporal Williams all contributed songs, and Mrs. Blake played tho accompaniments. Light refreshments wore afterwards served in tho gymnasium for performers and audience by tho House Committee, and St. John's Church Women's Association provided the usual supper in the other room. Among those who were present were Miss Coates (vice-president) and Sir James Allen (Minister of Defence) and his daughter, Mrs. Montgomery.
