ARRANGEMENTS FOR ENLISTMENTS. Melbourne,-March 15. Arrangements for enlistments in the Australian Army Reserve have been completed.—Press Assn. _ [The Australian Army Reserve consists of two classes. 'A" olass Trill comprise officers and men who have completed their training. On completion of service in this they may be transfeijed to class "B," consisting of soldiers who have been on aotivo service, ex-members of permanent military forces, and men resident in the Commonwealth who have been on active sorvico in any other military forces of tho Empire. Membership of this second class is voluntary for men under 60 years of age. In fttklition there is to be an honorary reserve for men who liavo completed thoir service in class "A" and who do not wish to continue in class "B." The Reserve so established is to be given a regular status in tho Australian Army by each of its regiments or batteries, as the case may be, being linked up with, existing military units. Provision is made for annual training. The pay and allowances are to ho at the same rate as those for the citizen forces, 'and uniforms are to be issued to all classes except rifle clubs and tho honorary reserve. The Minister of Dofonce stated that it was reasonable to assume that tho scheme would, within twelve months of the termination of the war, givo Australia a force of between 50 ; 000 and 200,000 mon trained in tho latent methods of warfaro who could bo quickly and effectively mobilised.l
