Tho Press Bureau states:—Mr. Prothero (Minister of Agriculture) asked the Axchbishop of Canterbury's opinion on the question of Sunday field work for the next few weeks, in view of tho importance of the next harvest. Tho Primato replied that he desired to safeguard Sunday to the utmost, but in view of tho nation's present food ernorgeacy ho did not hesitate to say that the Gospel allowed men and women to work in fields on Sundays with a clear conscience in such circumstances. —Aus.-N.Z.
