Another question was whether pressure should be brought on insurance companies to induce tlipm lo give further assistance towards the upkeep of brigades whether under fire boards or not. Tlie Minister suggested that a special meeting of the executive should consider an amendment to the Act, so that pressure bo brought to bear on insurance companies to compel them to take a larger share of responsibility.
