The annual report of the above states that tho club was formei on' January 20, 1916; in the opinion of tho committee it has been very successful up to date. The membership has increased from 18 who agreed to join, at tho initial meeting to 63 at the end of the year and four have since joined. There have been numerous competitions for golf balls presented by Mr. E. .T. Hyams, for club buttons, for a medal presented by Mr. A. J. Cameron, for a challenge shield and trophy presented by the captain, Dr. R. A. Cameron, as well as continuous stroke and bogey competitions, the club championship competition, and a match play tournament. The winners of balls were: J. T. Bowness, 4;<A. J. Cameron, 1; R. J. Christie, 2; ,T. M'lntosh, 1; T. 0. Treniamo, 1; and W. Whitehead, 3. The club buttons were won by J. L. Black, 1; J. T. Bowness, 2; A. J. Cameron, 1; T. 0. Treinaine, 1; and W. i. The prize presented by Mr. A. J. Cameron was won by W. Whitehead. Tho continuous stroke competition was won by A.-J. Cameron and tho continuous bogey by W. Whitehead. The club championship was won by W. Whitehead. There was a most strenuous competition for Dr. Cameron's shield, which resulted in n win for J. Twomey by half a. stroke in five rounds; the average for the winner was 37.'2, and for the runner m> 37.3. The committee hope that in the coming year more of the young players will lako part, and so help to keen lifo and go in the club.
