IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT OFFERS '■. ' TO TEND THEM. (R«c. March 10, 0.45 a.m.) "' London) March 9. Mr. W. H. Long (Colonial Secretary) has written to Mr. Massey stating that tho British Government will undertake the expense of the burial of New Zealand officers and, men dying in the United Kingdom. Mr. Long says: "I am. confident that it is the unanimous wish of everyone in this country I that we should be allowed to undertake this charge, and make it our duty that I the last resting place of those of our j overseas brothers who have fallen faV j from their homes may not be unworthy ! of. their sacrifice and the ceuso for-which j 'they'-gave l ' their lives. Their kinsfolk; may feel sure that their graves will be i tended with loving care." i Mr. Masse/ has replied expressing Ne>v Zealand's appreciation of the offer:
