Bratiano (tho Premier of Rumania) had always been pno of tho most evasive fellows, and was even now endeavouring to wriggle out upon the pretence that our offensive- at Salonika is not everything ho desired: Mr.- Maophersou (Financial Undersecretary to the War Office) said that Mr. Dillon ought to 'read the doubtful letter with great hesitation.
