GERMAN PLOTS IN AMERICA
TO ORGANISE AN INDIAN REVOLT
Now York, March 6. Dr. Ohanader Chakiaberty, a Hindu physician, and Dr. Ernest Schunner, a German, Jiavo been arrested on a charge of setting afoot a military expedition against a friendly nation.
Accused admitted receiving £12,000 from Lieut. Wolf von Tgel, a German plotter,_ to start a revolution in India. AVolf von Igel, formerly secrotary to Captain yon Papen, the notorious German military attache at .Washington, was arrested in May last on a charge of plotting to blow up thn Wollnnd Canal, connecting Lake Erie and Lako Ontario, in Canada, and with conspiring to ship lubricating oil to Germany via Sweden, as a. fertiliser. Highly important papers were found in liis offices in New' York.l
