Messrs. Gilbert Andenon and Co. (Messrs. Mellsop, Eliott and Co., Palmerston North, local agents) renort on thi frozen meat market under date London, December 29, as follows:— Home-grown—Tho after-Christmas trade has been a firm one, and prices advanced with tho short deliveries, due to delay on railways through fog. Compared with this time last year prices aro about 3d. per lb. dearer. ' 'Frozen.—The advance in prices above those of last year is 2d. per lb., the supplies being considerably lighter. Frozen pork is now becoming a regular and popular article of food. Tho quality is good and the size just what is required. Sheep are scarce, and lamb supplies also aro limited, and no difficulty is boing ex-, perienced in maintaining the fixed prices for the Government meat.
