The weather has moderated. _ Water is all through the ship to a depth of about 16ft., and the vessel remains in a steady position. The crew still remain aboard.

Operations have been practically »uspended pending the arrival of tho tug Terawhiti. The prospects are considered very hopeful.

An attempt to ' utilise the Fire Board's old pump to get rid of the water in the Arahura resulted in failure; and was. abandoned. It was then decided to utilise the dredgo Maui for a pump, but the weather became threatening, and it is now questionable if the Maui can be kept alongside.
