PIGEON RACING
On Saturday the Wellington Homing Pigeon Society flew its second young bird race from Taihape, 133 miles, in which 132 birds, representing 16 lofts, competed. 'Ihe winning bird, owned by Mr. E., Hastie, flew the distanco in 3 hours si, minutes 25 eeconds. ■ Following is a list showing the respective positions of placed birds:—l, Mr. E Hastie's r.c.c, No. 180, 1010.98 yds. per, minute; 2, Mr. J.
