LOSS OF GERMAN COLONIES
HAMBURG TRADERS' PETITION. London, February 23. The Hamburg Union for Overseas Interests is petitioning the Reichstag for preliminary partial compensation arising out of the loss of German colonies, pointing out that the valuable trade in cocoa and palm products will be only obtainable through the British Empire hereafter if the colonies are not returned. —The "Times."
