SEVEN DUTCH STEAMERS SUNK
(Rec. February 25, 6.5 p.m.) London, February 24. The latest sinkings reported are the British steamers Trojan Prince (3196 tons), Grenadier (1004 tons)', Watfield (3012 tons), Belgier (4588 tons), and the barque Invercaull (1416 tons). Lloyd's report that the following Dutch, steamers were torpedoed on Thursday night and the orews landed ; Zandjik (4159 tons), Noordedjik (7166 tons), Eemland (3770 tons), Ga-aster-land (3917 tons), Jaeatra (5373 tons), ■ Menado (5874 tons), Bandoeng (5851 tons). The "Central News" states that' four of these vessels were homeward; bound -with full cargoes, and were*sunk in tbe western approaones to the English Channel. The arrangements for the voyage of thid group were in the lands of tbe Dutch authorities. Instructions regarding route 3 were not asked from the British Admiralty.— Aus.-N.Z, Cable Assn.
