BIG FIRE AT DARGAVILLE
TIMBER MILL ABLAZE. . By Telegraph—Press Association. Dargaville, February 20. At 0.45 o'clock this morning tEe fir© bell sounded an alarm. ' It was found that Woolsey Allen's mill was ablaze. When the brigade reached tho scene the buildings and a large stock of timber were a mass of. flames, and there was no chance of saving anything. Anderson's mill, contiguous, was in danger. Luckily, the wind wa? blowing from the right quarter, and a plentiful supply of water, and the heroic efforts of the brigade prevented the . fire spreading. Mr; Anderson lost five Hundred thousand' feet of timber, part of which was being loaded on the barquo Margra, Mr. Allen's insurances total £1900.; Mr.Anderson's insurances aro riot known.
