At Pahautanui on Friday we submitted a, good yardinj of sheep to a full attendance of buyers. Good competition prevailed, and all but two small pens changed hands at the following quotations:—On account of W. Nicol: 260 4 and 6-tooth to f.f.m. ewes, 335.; on account of Vf. Brady: 160 4 and 6-toothtto f.f.m. ewes, 31e. 4d.; on account of Keith Bros., 230 6-tooth to f.f.m. ewes (poor condition). 255; Other quotations: Twotooth wethers, 275. 3d.; f.ra. ewes. 16a. lid 19s. 6d., to 225. 6d; lambs (small), 10s. 6d.; cull ewes, 9s. 6d. to 125.; Eomney rams, 3i guineas; black face rams, 2i guineas; aged rams. £1, 225. 6d., to 30s. \ The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd.. report that at their Pahautanui yards on Friday they offered over 3000 sheep and a large yarding of cattle to a largo attendance of buyers, including representatives of the Wairarapa and Manawatu districts.. The bulk of their yarding was fair conditioned, and they report a good sale at satisfactory prices, which enabled them to sell all sheep excepting one small pen. The following prices were abtained:—Four-year ewes, 325. 5d., 325. 6d., to 335. 6d.; 2-tooth ewes 285.; mixed age ewes, 325. 9d., 335. 7d., to 375. 6d.; mixed aged ewes, low condition. 253. 3d. to 275. 6d.; cull ewes. 14s. 6(1., 19s. 7d., to 20s. 6d.; 2-tooth wethers, 295. 7d.; 2 and 4-tooth wethers, Zfc>. 2d.; mixed sex lambs, 16s. 7d.; small lambe, 10s. 6d. to 12s. 9d.; cull lambs. 6s. 6d.: b.f. lambs, small, 12=.; mixed age rams, £1 14s. to £2 55.; f.f.m. rams, 25 guineaa; store cows. £7 Uβ. to £9; spring calving cows, £6 17s. 6d. . bulls, £5 10a.
