When Your Feet Ache. ■ Many, people endeavour to lessen tho fatigue of standing by throwing the tveight first upon one leg and then upon the other; but this only gives relief for the time being (says a writer in an exchange)., The better method is to stretch the leg into as straight a position as possible, so as to bring .the muscles at-the back of the knee into use, and so relieve others whore the greater pressure is usually borne, li is not generally realised that cashmere or woollen hosiery should be worn all the year round, during tho summer months as well as the winter. New stockings should not be worn before they have been washed. They are then not only more comfortable, but will also last a much longer time. Where continued standing, is necessary, shoes with cloth uppers should be worn, in preference to the usual kind. ■- They give moro freely, and are therefore more restful. Patent leather shoes will "give" the least of any. At times when you are suffering from tired feet, this can be greatly relieved by bathing them in warm soda water. The solution should not he a strong one, of course. It is also found very beneficial to rub the soles of the feet with a little olive oil after the morning bath. "Whenever one has the time and opportunity, it is a wise plan to recline. Remember, it is always most restful to have the legs raised in a line with the hips; or, better still, lie down completely for a short time, throwing off both slippers and stockinge and resting the feet upon a cushion. - .. ■ I
