The Third Wellington Military Service Board sat ou Saturday. The board consists of Messrs. W. H. S. Moorhouse (chairman), A. O'L. Considine, and M. J. Mack. ' In tho cases of Thos. M. Heffernon, and G. W. 8,. Bond, ecclesiastical students, for whom Archbishop' O'Shea. appealed on Friday, it was decided that tho appeals should bo dismissed, and that it should. bo recommended, that the- students ought to be employed in the Medical Corps. Respecting the seven men for whom tho Public Trustee appealed on Friday, it was decided that the cases should he adjourned for fourteen days, in order that the Public Trustee could confer; with the Publio Service Commissioner as to" the supplying of temporary assistance to enable the appellants to go to-the front. Respecting the Vacuum Oil Company's application for further .leave fop. ,L. W: Gilbert, its chief clerk, the' board had no recommendation to make. Charles Joseph Pfaff, shipping and Customs clerk, 38 Pirie Street, Wellington, who produced a certificate of unfitness, said that he had not actually, wished to'appeal, and desired to offer his services to tho Defence Department in any capacity in which they could make use of him. Tho appeal was allowed. An appeal by Charles Frederick Hills, joiner and splint maker, 7 Emerson: Street, Berhamp'oro, was partly consid- ■ ered, and then adjourned. — An appeal was lodged for Thos. Henry O'Sullivah, tinsmith and sheet metai worker, 13 Wha Street, Lyall Distressing family circumstances were related, and a brother offered to go instead of appellant if given twomonths to fix up business . matters. Leave till April 28 was granted,'wheiione of the brothers is to go to camp*
