COMMANDEERED WOOL
CROSSBHEDS WANTED. (Rec. February IC, 6.25 p.m.) London, February 15. In the House of Commons, replying to protests over the commandeering of wool clips, Mr. W. H. Forster (Financial Secretary to the War Office), said " necessity knew no laiv,' and the AVar Office liad resolved to stick at nothing to win the war. Unless wo arc supplied with wool the Allies would have to go short." He added that the Government required practically the whole of the crossbred supply of the Empire for military purposes. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. - —
