Mrs. J. R. Kirk, of Gisborne, has been elected an 'Associate of the Royal j Colonial Institute, London. Canon and Mrs. Rupert Fairbrother and child, who have been spending a holiday in the Wairarapa, for the past, month, staying with Mrs. -P. J. Armstrong, arrived- in Wellington yesterday, from where they depart for Australia by the Manuka. Canon and Mrs. Fairbrother now reside in Tamworth, New South Wales. Mr. David Ogilvy and family left. Masterton yesterday on a month's holiday by the seaside at Wellington. Miss J. Clark-Johnson is the guest of Mrs". R. Wilson (St. Martins, Christchurch). . Miss J. Harper (Karori), who has been 1 spending the holidays in Cliristchurch, has returned to Wellington.
